How long you’ll have us in the house
A bathroom is the most disruptive room in the house to renovate, because everybody needs it every day. So it is a fair question, and the honest answer is that it depends on what is changing. A like-for-like refit, where the new suite goes roughly where the old one was, sits at the faster end. One of our Google reviews describes the team stripping out an old bathroom and completely refitting it in five days, and that is a fair picture of a well-planned, straightforward job.
Three things add days rather than hours. Moving the layout, because shifting a toilet or shower means new pipework and drainage runs under the floor. Wet rooms, because proper tanking has to go in and cure before a single tile goes on. And floor-to-ceiling tiling, which simply takes longer to do well than a half-height wall. None of these are problems. They just belong in the plan, and your bathroom fitting quote will tell you the timescale before anything is booked.

What actually moves the price
No two bathrooms cost the same, and anyone quoting you a price without seeing the room is guessing. What we can tell you is exactly where the money goes, because it is the same handful of factors on every job.
- ✓ The size of the room and how much of it is tiled. Tiling is labour, and floor-to-ceiling costs more than half-height.
- ✓ Whether the layout changes. Keeping the toilet, basin and bath where they are keeps pipework simple. Moving them means new runs under the floor.
- ✓ The spec of what goes in. A vanity unit, a quality shower enclosure and brassware can be modest or premium. You choose, and we price both ways if you are deciding.
- ✓ Wet room tanking. A proper wet room needs the floor and walls waterproofed correctly, which adds material and time.
- ✓ What the strip-out uncovers. Old floors and walls occasionally hide surprises. If something unexpected appears, we price the change with you before carrying on.

Every bathroom we price starts with a free home design visit. We measure the room, talk through what you want, and follow up with a fixed written quote. One figure, in writing, with no obligation attached. That is the number you pay, not a day rate that drifts. If you would rather not pay for everything at once, finance is available to spread the cost, and you can see the standard of finish you are paying for in our recent work.
Cost and timescale questions
How long does a small bathroom refit take?
Straightforward refits are measured in days rather than weeks. The five-day strip-out and refit described in one of our Google reviews is a realistic picture of a simple job done properly. Your written quote includes the timescale for your room.
Can we still live in the house during the work?
Yes, almost everyone does. The water is only off when it has to be, we tidy up at the end of every day, and we plan the messiest stages with you so the household can work around them.
Is the quote really fixed?
Yes. You get one figure in writing before any work is booked, and that is what you pay. If the strip-out uncovers something nobody could have seen, we price the change with you before carrying on, never after.
Can I spread the cost?
Yes, finance is available on our bathroom work. Mention it at the design visit or on the enquiry form and we will go through the options alongside your quote.
What do you need from me to give a price?
